Sees a wide range of
endocrine patients and has a major interest in pituitary disease. Dr.
Lieberman grew up in San Antonio, and graduated from Southwestern Medical
School, Dallas, in 1985. He trained in Internal Medicine at Santa Clara
Valley Medical Center, and then did further training in endocrinology at
Stanford. After serving on the faculty at George Washington University, he
joined our Division at UTMB in 1994. His clinical research focuses on
pituitary dysfunction following traumatic brain injury and effects of
androgen replacement in aging. Dr. Lieberman has been very active in
education and has served as UTMB's Associate Dean for Educational Affairs
since 2001. Education research and development interests include the use of
patient video clips in computer-based testing, the development and
optimization of computer-assisted instruction including the use of
simulation, and investigation of the educational outcomes resulting from
curricular changes.
