The UTMB Internal Medicine Residency Program
is
fully accredited to train board-eligible general internists. A total of 37
interns are accepted annually through the National Residency Matching Program. Ten are
preliminary (one year) positions, 25 are
traditional three-year categorical positions, 2 are aerospace or combined PMCH. The educational curriculum consists of a series of required
and elective clinical rotations, continuity care clinics, and a series of teaching
conferences.
